I love a good hole in the wall diner, and this place delivers. The service is great and warm, and the food is incredible. The shrimp & grits is hands down my ultimate comfort food from here, just the perfect amount of spice, tomato's and bacon with large shrimp.
This the only real diner for miles. Prices are more than reasonable. Friendly staff. Down home cooking with large portions. Their corn beef hash and eggs is outstanding.
Breakfast bowl was so delicious. Got it with crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. The potatoes were nice and crispy and the gravy was the perfect amount of creamy sausage goodness. Hubby got the breakfast sandwich bagel with ham, egg, and cheese, but it was pretty small. Our cousin got grits which were really good, with butter, nice and soft, not too gritty. I wanna go back and try the monte cristo.
I'm telling you, this place NEVER disappoints. It's a small, calm place with VERY sweet & attentive Staff. The ONLY negative-ish thing I can think of is the French toast may be slightly better if it had less butter & was thicker. OH, perhaps also if it was a little toasted on the outside. That could also just be a personal preference. Our waitress, "Ceci" (Cecilia) was incredible - sweet, chatty, attentive & quick to fulfill requests.
Excellent service. Great food and the ambiance is homely. I highly recommend you stop in for a great breakfast in this mom and pop style diner
